Enable gpedit.msc di Windows XP / 7 Home Basic

How to enable gpedit.msc on your windows home basic version ?

All link above is free from virus (Avira Antivirus scan), so don’t worry about trojan pack/malware on this file. Be sure your anti virus is on.

 Manual for windows xp home:

  • Put these files:

    appmgmts.dll
    appmgr.dll
    fde.dll
    fdeploy.dll
    gpedit.msc
    gpedit.dll
    gptext.dll

    into %SystemRoot%\system32 folder (most often it’s just c:\windows\system32)

  • put these files:

    system.adm
    inetres.adm
    conf.adm

    into %SystemRoot%\system32\GroupPolicy\ADM\ (create if this folder doesn’t exist)

  • finally, run these commands one by one in the CMD window:

    regsvr32 gpedit.dll
    regsvr32 fde.dll
    regsvr32 gptext.dll
    regsvr32 appmgr.dll
    regsvr32 fdeploy.dll

  • or you can use file gpedInst.bat to registered

That should can try gpedit.msc callable as Start -> Run ->  gpedit.msc. (type)

Manual for Windows 7 :

Its a ZIP file, extract it using WinRAR or 7-Zip. Run the extracted setup.exe file. It’ll install the files and you’ll be able to access gpedit.msc command via RUN or startmenu search box.
